A message from Sarah…

If you’ve found yourself on this page, there’s a good chance you’re in pain. First, take a deep breath—and give yourself credit for making it here. That alone takes strength.

I want you to know you’re not alone. Many of us have been where you are right now: hurting, confused, searching for support, unsure if anything can help—or even if we want help at all. It’s okay not to have all the answers. That’s exactly why you’re here, and it’s a brave step to take.

I believe in creating trust and equanimity in a therapeutic relationship, so I'd like to share a bit about myself:

I have faced my own mental health challenges for much of my life. While they led to mistakes and hardship, I was fortunate to receive help early enough to avoid a more destructive path. Since choosing to enter this field, it has been my mission to pay that help forward. The journey has had its ups and downs, but my commitment to this work never wavered—until May 2015, when my world shattered.

My beautiful 11-year-old daughter, Madeline, was tragically killed in an accident. In the aftermath, I felt lost and uncertain, questioning whether I could—or even wanted to—help another person again. Grieving forced me to find strength in ways I never imagined and to accept a life I could never have prepared for. Over time, I gradually reconnected with my passion for helping others.

I know firsthand how isolating profound loss can feel, and how difficult it is to believe that anyone can truly understand. That’s why I’ve made it my purpose to be that someone for others—to offer empathy, presence, and hope when it’s needed most.

In my personal time, I enjoy staying at home, spending time with my family and cats, or working on one of my (too) many hobbies. I love art in all forms. The eternal introvert, you'll rarely see me out socializing. I believe in self-care and growth for myself as much as I do for my clients, so I am always looking for new ways to build the life I want.

I hope that I am able to place my clients at ease, where they feel they can be open and share very personal experiences that can be of a very sensitive nature. By creating a relationship where clients feel comfortable, and that I will not be shocked, judgmental, or offended by their experiences, we can seek to explore how these experiences impact their own life and relationships. Therapy can be really scary. I often find myself at my first therapy appointment with a new therapist experiencing the anxieties of opening up to someone new. Because yes, therapists need therapists too.

As I’ve navigated through my own struggles of depression, I have realized a lot. I’ve realized that no matter how low a person gets, a strong relationship, or relationships, can make all the difference. I do my best to create a safe, supportive space to help you go where you need to, whether that be some place dark or your success’ of the light. We will work together to feel the emotions we like, and the ones don’t always like. (Spoiler alert… we need them all to be human!) We’ll celebrate your wins as triumphs. Most importantly, we will go on a journey of self discovery to find who you truly are. I’m so proud of you for taking this step, but more importantly, I hope you’re proud of yourself.

Some fun facts about me… I have a partner of almost 8 years, he’s truly my best friend! I love to be creative, whether that be through sewing, embroidering, or making random decorations/crafts. I have a lab, Great Dane, pit bull mix named Zoey that is my pride and joy. If our paths do end up crossing, please have some fun facts about yourself ready. I’d love to hear them!
